In its 5th time participating, this year our Museum presented the #TelecommunicationMuseum’s #Smartstories exhibit and created young artists with the “Planet on a Cube” workshop for children!
Some 2,000 visitors had the opportunity to see rare telephones up close and enjoy a unique audio experience! Via tablet, at selected points in the exhibit, they learned about smart cities and milestone events in the history of recycling and the environment.
Was there recycling in prehistoric times? How did the 1st industrial revolution change our lives? How are smart options changing our daily lives and impacting the environment? Our visitors were pleasantly surprised by the answers to these questions!
Digital applications and interactive activities captivated the audience, but the show was stolen by Odysseus, our hawk, who lives at OTE Headquarters, and with whom many visitors, young and old, had their picture taken!
Naturally, our youngest friends took part in the “Planet on a Cube” children’s workshop and filled the space with smiles, depicting 4 telephones, 4 seasons and 4 climate phenomena on 3D sculpted cubes!
