On the weekend of 14th & 15th and on Wednesday, March 18th 2016, around 450 parents with their children, but also individual visitors, came to the Museum and celebrated with us World Telecommunications Day and International Museum Day, with Pepper 96.6 radio station broadcasting live from MT!
Thanks to three different museum education programmes and a tour of our Collections, all visitors, children and adults, left the Museum very impressed!
The younger children engaged in crafts and became messengers of a very important message, by making their own horse. For the older children there was a surprise! By choosing each their own bag, and depending on what the bag contained, they explored the Museum to find “hidden treasures”!
The boldest of our little friends participated in a quite innovating activity! They painted the outdoors area of the Museum, using the street art technique of graffiti!
In the end, thanks to an interactive tour, the visitors, surprised and moved, watched the whole history of telecommunications unfold before their eyes!
Our next appointment is already scheduled for September, with new programmes and activities!
