Sixteen Children’s charities from all over Greece, which this year received financial support from OTE amounting to more than € 550,000, attended a special event in their honour, at the Telecommunications Museum, on Friday, June 3rd 2016.
The visit to the Museum started with a tour of the collections, where the history of telecommunications unfolds, from the pre-electric era to the modern satellite and mobile phones, revealing the connection between telecommunications and our country’s social and technological history.
Once the tour was concluded, the charities’ representatives gathered at the Museum’s specially designed outdoors area, had lunch and conversed with the company executives and listened to the short speech of the Chairman, Mr. Tsamaz, who once again praised their important work, underlining that the financial support provided to them is an honour for the Company.
A “piece” of the history of telecommunications in Greece, a copy of a collectible insulator, was the gift offered to the representatives of the charitable bodies, at the end of the event. And of course, we made another appointment! This time, they will visit us with their “children”, for a magical journey in the world of telecommunications.
