What happened?
We learnt everything about optical fibre! An OTE technician explained how these extra thin filaments made by plastic or glass, that look like threads, bring Internet to our homes! He showed them to us and let us touch them and he gave us a “tour” of the inside of a “Cabinet”, where old technology is combined with the new, waiting for this “marvelous fibre” to reach our home!
We played
In the augmented reality sandbox, we “replaced” the copper cables with optical fibre, playing with sand! We brought modern technology to our standards! And we connected our entire town via optical fibres!
We created
Feeling artistic, we intervened on the PCP (primary cross-connection point) in the neighborhood of the Museum.
We were visited by
A large number of parents and children, 200 people in total, participated in the educational activities of the Museum, at the programs and tours that were held in November.
