On Wednesday, 25 January, music lovers in Thessaloniki welcomed the New Year, 2023, with a festive concert of classical music held by the ‘Friends of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle’. The concert took place at Alexandros Haitoglu hall of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. The Mixed Choir of the Cultural Club of OTE Personnel in Thessaloniki was there and participated under the musical direction of conductor Iraklis Panagopoulos, with traditional songs from Cyprus (Agia Marina) and Vithynia (Roumpalia), traditional spirituals (Take Me to the Water), as well as songs by Manos Hatzidakis and Mikis Theodorakis.

The concert was held courtesy of the Modern Conservatory, and the proceeds will be used to meet the needs of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle.
