What happened?
Facts in photos…
Children from 6 to 12 years old had the opportunity to become photographers for a day and use a Polaroid camera to photograph the museum exhibits that made the biggest impression on them.
The two time “machines”…
Besides the children, two “machines” from the old days also had a leading role in the particular programme: the telephotography machine and of course the Polaroid camera. Children were introduced to telephotography via a video and by seeing the machine operating in real life. Using the Polaroid camera, they had an instant photo of their self next to the exhibit they had selected!
Towards its end, the activity found the children making their own Pop Art collage after having seen a series of the most important Telephotos of the Museum’s collection from the 50’s and up to the 80’s!
