Great fun at the Museum’s garden the past two Sundays.
On Sunday, 26 September, the children cheerfully came to the Museum on their bikes and took part in our outdoors art workshop “Bicycle print transfers”! After they listened to some interesting facts about the art of engraving from acclaimed engraver Dimitra Siaterli and her team (Pandolfini-Siaterli Athens Printmaking Center), the left their own tracks and put their own ‘stamp’, using the bike tires and a multitude of colors. After that, they took home with them the original prints which they created and their unique experience!
A week later, on 3 October, at the outdoors workshop “Pine-needle telephones”, the children, guided by prominent artist Martha Dimitropoulou, learned about Landscape art and used pine needles from the Museum's garden to make sculptures, such as a telephone, a pigeon nest and a dog, which they placed inside a telephone booth in the Museum’s garden to take a picture.
We will soon be with you again in person at the Museum. Stay tuned and book a place online here for the STEM programs coming to the Museum on Sunday, 21 November.
