What can Amal \u2013 a 9-year-old refugee who\u2019s also a 3.5-metre puppet from Syria \u2013 pigeons and sharks have to do with the Museum?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the museum education action “A Puppet Takes a Trip,\u201d the children at the museum\u2019s amphitheatre learned about the adventure of Amal\u2019s journey to various countries, and they heard about diversity and acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They then learned about various means of communication over the years, such as postal pigeons, which carried messages over long distances, and they created shadows in the dark with puppet pigeons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the narration of a fairy tale, and inspired by a video of the OTE cable ship \u2018Thalis o Milesios\u2019, which laid underwater cable, the children created colourful puppet sharks and narrated their own fairy tales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
