UPDATE ON THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA THROUGH THE WEBSITE www.otegroupmuseum.gr  The OTE Group attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and observes the principle of transparency with regard to their processing. We hereby wish to inform you specifically with regard to the processing of your personal data during the navigation and use of the Website www.otegroupmuseum.gr (hereinafter referred to as the Website). 1. What is the identity of the personal data controller? The data controller is the company HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS ORGANISATION (“OTE”) with registered offices in Marousi, Attica (at 99 Kifissias Ave.). 2. Who can you contact regarding personal data protection issues? What categories of personal data do we collect and process and for what purpose? While you navigate the Website we collect and/or process:
  • Data that you fill out on the educational programme booking form, such as:
    • First name, Last name, Mobile telephone number, E-mail of escort (family plans)
    • School/Institution, Prefecture, District, Class, Telephone number, School e-mail, First name, Last name, Mobile telephone number, E-mail of escort (school plans)
  • Data that you complete in the Newsletter registration form, such as: Full name, e-mail, organisation/entity (optional).
  • Data arising from use of shortcuts to social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. You can use these shortcuts to introduce the OTE Group Telecommunications Museum to your friends (the legal basis for this is Article 7 GDPR – consent).
  • Data arising from the use of Website tracking mechanisms/cookies. You can find out about tracking mechanisms/cookies and manage your options in the Cookies Setting menu. (The legal basis for this is Article 7 GDPR – consent).
4. How long do we retain your personal data? The data arising from the use of the Website, as described above, is retained for a month without any possibility of retrieval via OTE. 5. Will OTE process your personal data for other purposes? OTE will not process your personal data for purposes other than those mentioned above (contacting for confirmation & reminders about the booking for the Museum’s educational programmes / contact via Newsletter about the Museum’s news and events). Should OTE wish to use your personal data for other purposes, it will do so only after informing you in this regard and obtaining your express consent. 6. Who are the recipients and for what purpose are personal data transferred to them? Your personal data may be received by third-party companies with which we collaborate in the design and technical support of the www.otegroupmuseum.gr Website, in particular:
  • the ‘Valuecom’ company, with registered offices in Greece, at the following address: 6 Karytsi Square, Postal Code GR-105 61, Athens
This third-party company is implementing the processing on behalf of OTE, i.e. is an OTE partner that undertakes the execution of a specific project following our instructions and applying the strict procedures of the OTE Group with regard to the processing of your personal data. In such cases, OTE remains responsible for the processing of your personal data. Processing of your personal data for the above purposes by our partners is mainly carried out in Greece and the European Union (EU). If we work with companies outside the EU, they will process your data only following our instructions, and if there is an adequacy decision by the European Commission or if appropriate clauses are agreed upon which ensure a high level of security with regard to the processing of your personal data. Beyond Valuecom, OTE does not process or disclose your personal data to third parties, except where disclosure/transfer is required by applicable law. 7. What are your rights with regard to the processing of your personal data? The rights you can exercise include: Right to access: You have the right to be informed about your personal data which we process (e.g. the purposes of the processing, the types of data, the recipients to whom they are disclosed, the period for which they are retained) and to be provided with copies thereof by us. Right to rectification: You have the right to have your data rectified (e.g. correction of the address, contact details). Right to erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was processed or where you have withdrawn the consent pursuant to which we collected and processed it. Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request restriction of processing for a specific purpose (e.g. I don’t want to receive marketing updates via email). Right to object to the processing of your personal data where you do not want your personal data to be processed. In order to exercise your rights, you can:
  • send an e-mail to [email protected] or
  • a letter to “OTE Group Telecommunications Museum, 25 Proteus Street, GR-14564, Nea Kifissia” on the subject of “Exercise of Personal Data Rights”
accompanied by a copy of your identity card indicating your full name. If you feel that we have not adequately met your request and that the protection of your personal data is in any way affected, you may lodge a complaint via a special web portal with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Athens, 1-3 Kifissias Avenue, GR-115 23 | tel No: +30 210 6475600). Detailed instructions for submitting a complaint are provided on the Authority’s website. OTE will respond to your requests free of charge, without delay, within one month of receipt of the request. In exceptional cases, this deadline may be extended by two (2) months if the complexity of your request so requires. In any case, we will inform you about this extension and the reason for the delay. If we consider that your request is clearly unfounded or excessive, we reserve the right to request the payment of a reasonable fee for its satisfaction, taking into account the administrative costs for its execution, or even to refuse to proceed with your request. 8. What measures are in place to protect your personal data? OTE shall take appropriate organisational and technical measures to secure your data and to protect it from accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, prohibited transmission or access, and any other form of unlawful processing.
