The International Museum Day is celebrated all around the world with various events and it is dedicated to a specific theme related to museums and their role in modern society.
The main theme of this year’s celebration is: “Museums as cultural hubs: The future of tradition”. The Telecommunications Museum participates in this grand celebration and plans three days of activities and tours (17,18,19 May), in mornings and afternoons.
Museum Educational activities
How does the idea of making an album of your memories by “coloring the past” seem? The idea of solving riddles and discovering “hidden” secrets in a “Mystery Game at the Museum”? Or the idea of seeing “unseen” parts of the Museum, via phosphorescent routes guiding you to the depths of telecommunication, at “Museum in the dark”?
The programs are addressed to families and children 6-12 y.o. and are offered free of charge!
Tour: when tradition “meets” technology
A tour for everybody “unravels” the seventy-year history of OTE and invites you to get to know up-close telecommunications and their world. With a surprise -“exhibit”, presented for the first time! Come and see how OTE’s network was expanded in remote areas, where human access was not feasible!
Info
All these for three days, 17-19 May 2019, at ΟΤΕ Telecommunications Museum, in mornings and afternoons.
Participation in all programs is free of charge. Book your place electronically in advance here.
