On Monday, 14 November, the new and innovative art workshops for primary schools in rural areas began with the first workshop, ‘RING! A puppet story comes alive at the Museum! MT MUPPET THEATER’ for kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students.
318 kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students at 18 schools in rural areas, from Evros to Crete and on islands such as Ios and Tilos, participated very enthusiastically in the workshop and created their own telephone operator doll and an OTE lineworker.
What’s more, they took a guided digital tour of the Museum’s permanent exhibit and learned about the difficult jobs of telephone operators and lineworkers, and their contribution to telecommunications in Greece.
