This year, for the 5th consecutive year, we are participating in the Athens Science Festival 2021, which is being held virtually this year, inviting everyone to participate in science, technology and innovation activities online and live stream from Technopolis, Municipality of Athens.
Since 2015, the Museum has participated in the Athens Science Festival, with travelling exhibitions and innovative visual, technological and museum-education workshops that have attracted over 14,000 visitors.

A few words about the online STEM programmes:
“Light fires and send messages with torches!” 6-9 years of age. Times: 10.30-12.00 & 12.30-14.00
Through the Scratch Junior program, Children take their first steps in programming and travel through time, discovering the ancient phryctoriae (telecommunications beacons) and how they worked. With the help of Cat, the children design beacon pathways and send their own messages, “lighting” fires! Log in and make your booking here.
“Create codes and send telegrams in Morse code” (Ages 10-12). Times: 10.30-12.00 & 12.30-14.00
Through Scratch 3.0, children gain advanced programming knowledge, write their own codes and design a Morse telegraph simulation to send their own telegrams in Morse code! Log in and make your booking here.
