«Houston… we have a problem!»

When?

8 and 9 April 2017

What happened?

Stars, satellites and the universe… in the context of satellite communication we discussed and travelled in space via the educational program of the Telecommunications Museum.

The satellite, the “launch”

Children and their parents watched the actual launch of the Greek satellite, participated in the reverse counting process, learned about the stars and the planets of our solar system, saw how satellite communication is achieved via a satellite mockup and finally, searched the brightest star in the sky, the Sun, using a real telescope!

Our “own” satellite…

Before launching the satellite, our little friends built a cardboard model with their names on it, ready for launch!

Who visited us…

More than 200 people, parents and children, participated in the two educational activities that were held during the weekend.
