This year, the Museum travelled to 50 remote primary schools in Greece

The Museum travelled ONLINE this year, from Soufli to Gavdos & from Kastelorizo to Mathraki in the Diapontia islands, with two art workshops: The Museum in our Suitcase & Musical instruments made from recyclable materials, for all pupils of primary school.

We ‘visited’ 50 remote primary schools in Greece. 103 classes participated in the workshops and we met 1,928 children and 126 teachers!

Students from one- and two-teacher schools connected digitally with their peers to become a large creative group.

A unique communication experience! We introduced ourselves, took a digital ‘walk’ together at the Museum and heard about the history of communication, from the Phryctoriae of Troy to the launch of satellites & fiber optics

Inspired by visual artist Alexis Akrithakis and the red payphone in our collection, we made an ‘artistic’ suitcase of recyclable materials to travel around the world!

Watch the video here and travel with us!

We’ll see you in September, with new and innovative programs for all!
