It was with great pleasure that we welcomed to the Museum the group with special needs from the Day Care Centre "Elpida". Thirty-five adults and their companions were guided through the two floors and interactively experienced the exhibits/inventions of the Collections, travelling from the crypts and pyre of antiquity to the Gaming of the modern era!
We sent messages together with the Hydraulic Telegraph, listened and watched on the augmented reality tablet as Morse introduced himself and talked about his invention, the electric telegraph, and were transported to the era of global capitalism in 19th century New York, to see the hundreds of wires above the tall buildings that hid the sun, we made a phone call together from the analog telephone exchanges, and we saw up close how one of the first TV studios of the 60s operated, housed on the 2nd floor.
The Museum is always "open" to the society. With programmes and actions that are open to everyone, regardless of nationality, age and gender, it is close to the issues that concern today's society (social inequalities, digital inclusion, etc)
