What Happened

On Friday, 27 January, in a wonderful ceremony at the Athens Conservatory, the Association of Advertising and Communication Companies of Greece (EDEE) presented awards for the best ideas of 2022. A total of 283 judges from the Ermis Awards Academy of Judges participated in the award committees for all categories.

The Telecommunications Museum and M-art were very pleased to receive the BRONZE award in the Public Relations (PR) category for the art workshop ‘The Museum in our Suitcase’, which was held during the 2021-2022 school year for remote schools Greece.

We ‘travelled’ online to 50 remote primary schools from Soufli to Gavdos and from Kastelorizo to Mathraki in the Diapontia islands. 

 Some 103 classes participated in the workshops, and we got to know 1,928 children and 126 teachers! Students from one- and two-teacher schools connected digitally with their peers to become a large creative group. 

Inspired by visual artist Alexis Akrithakis and the red payphone in the Museum’s collection, we made an ‘artistic’ suitcase of recyclable materials to travel around the world!

It was a unique communication experience!
